This week Sara and I are in for round two of episode 30 after a slight software snafu. We bring you a delicious recipe to help you rock the latke this fine holiday season. This Food and Wine recipe for the Best Latke Recipe will blow your mind. If you’ve never had a latke it’s somewhere between tater tot and has brown land but bigger and bolder! We get listener feedback and questions on going video for our show, thanksgiving egg rolls and a carbless approach to eggs benedict.
We spend a little time overanalyzing Taco Bell, discuss how Julie Martin of Martin’s Potato Rolls tweets us because of a burger comment, our upcoming plans for an appetizer episode with a last minute Burrata on Crostini addition in response to a tweet from Christie Golden, Gingerbread building problems, Passive Aggressive lunch notes, and Hostess Flavored Cereal. We of course go off the rails and do a hard analysis of snack cakes and Michael pushes the Orange Hostess Cupcakes as a potential cereal while riding the nostalgia train to hostess fruit pies, snowballs, cupcakes, twinkies and discuss the ratio of bite size to snack cake size when you’re younger. We completely stay off topic and throw some serious love towards Cinnamon Toast Crunch... and of course a a buzzfeed quiz where we discuss which type of coffee your are during this winter season.
